The purpose of the Association is to improve the profitability of members by protecting and promoting their interests and providing valuable services.

LRA is constantly in communication with Tatts about:

  • the need for realistic commission levels and regular commission reviews;
  • the terms and conditions of our franchise agreements;
  • Tatts new outlet site location policy and practice;
  • limiting network expansion to viable sites or distribution systems minimising sales impact on existing outlets;
  • ensuring that compulsory insurance policies are appropriate and competitive; and

The LRA is recognised by Government and the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation, and meets with the Department of Justice, the ACCC and the Victorian Commissioner for Small Business on a range of issues, all of which are focussed on protecting and improving your business.

Since 2015 the Lottery Retailers Association and the Australian Lottery and Newsagents Association have worked together on national lottery issues via an affiliation agreement. This agreement allows LRA members to enjoy the benefits of being ALNA members and brings together the combined experience of both organisations to provide all of our members with increased strength in our advocacy efforts nationally with Tatts.
